The design for the Clyfford Still Museum was announced. There’s a mock up on Denver Infill. Ken sees Frank Lloyd Wright’s influence in the design. Personally, I see more Charles Heartling. I like it! But of course I would.
Jessica Fasick dropped me a line this morning about this Charles Haertling designed gem in boulder. Thanks Jessica!. The home is for sale through Walnut Realty, with more details here. Tom Kahn and his crew were kind enough to lend me this fabulous picture of the property. This home is both architecturally significant, and pure eye candy to look at. Simply beautiful.

Haertling’s work can also be found outside of Boulder. The bulk of his work is in Boulder, however, where he not only created truly unique structures, but invested himself in the community and worked to preserve its open space.
Hanne Lichtenfels is listing a Hilltop beauty from one of my favorite architects. 4141 Shangri La Dr. was designed by Charles Haertling, a local legend, and appears to have some recent updates that compliment the home.
Visit Hanne’s web site for more information.
I found a really cool photo album by Jessica Fasick. There’s lots of great art there, including pictures of Arapahoe Acres and assortment of modern architecture in Boulder, Denver, and around the world.
The true find here, is her album on the work of Charles Haertling. Very cool.
I found a web site that profiles one of the great modern architects to work along the Front Range. Mr Haertling’s homes have a organic nature that integrate modernism with natural surrounds. They are simply brilliant.
