Denver Modern Homes

I’ve been super busy the past few days and haven’t had much time for this blog. I”m so tired that I don’t think I could write a descent description of a new home for sale right now. But luckily, I don’t have to.

Geoff Hauer is selling his Mid-Century Modern in Hilltop, one of Denver’s coolest neighborhoods. He built his own custom website for the home, where you can find out all the details.

The Hilltop neighborhood has lost another little piece of its charm and history as the Puck House at 10 South Albion was razed this week.

Thankfully, its neighbor, the Moore House (also in the book), is in the process of being renovated with an appreciation of past and present modern style.

Carole Rich, who’s listing 275 South Eudora Street sent me some pictures, and a great article (linked below) about the property. Hilltop is one of my favorite neighborhoods. This home is an excellent example of why.

Hilltop is quite possibly the coolest grouping of modern homes in all of Denver. It features many modern homes from the mid-century era, but it’s also a hot bed of tear-down/new construction built in a verity of modern styles. the Hilltop neighborhood is located north east of the intersection of Alameda and Colorado Blvd.

Hanne Lichtenfels is listing a Hilltop beauty from one of my favorite architects. 4141 Shangri La Dr. was designed by Charles Haertling, a local legend, and appears to have some recent updates that compliment the home.

Brandon Bennick of Kentwood Cherry Creek is offering this Hilltop contemporary. It features a loft like feel, with a main floor master suite. Custom new everything with cherry floors, Shoji class doors, and more.

I remember seeing this home on What You Get For The Money on HGTV. The exterior mixes modern lines with the classic curves more common to the neighborhood.
