For family rooms together with basements, places where you want more of an entertainment wall, mount your TV on top of lighted panels. You will get a fun eye catching effect when you're done. Of course you are not stuck with only one texture in-conjunction with one color per mounted TV.

Don´t be scared to bring in one giant shot of color. I love this big yummy red box that was added to the coffee table. How about a collection of glass bottles? Different heights with shapes look great congregate on one end of a table anchored by a low, wide decor piece on the other. Exhibit off a assemblage of matchstick boxes, refrigerator magnets from your cross-country trip, pins from every concert you went to, or anything else. You can display them in an absorbing bowl and box or jar.

Alternatively, organize a purple accent wall with cushions on a gray seat. Purple drapes with one or two upholstered items of furniture often go well together, as does a purple ceiling. For the twin-feature look, also try a pair of chairs that have the same purple tone as a light fitting. Alternatively, employ upholstery that coordinates with the lavender colors of a piece of wall hung art.

If you already have a vital focal point in your living space, perhaps a fireplace with chimney breast that extends into the floor area, then setting a television to one side of it can often make the room seem a little out of kilter. Sometimes placing the TV above the mantel will do the job, but this is merely not practical in all rooms, especially if the fireplace is used.
