If you had to pick a new wall unit for your living space how would it look like? The question is actually not as easy as it looks. It's definitely easier to think of some characteristics that you want for your new unit when you’re replacing an already existing one. Basically you just make a list of things you hate about your old furniture and you seem for the opposite in your new design. Things are more complicated when you’re decorating an empty space. However both cases manifest similarities.

There are a few important inquiry you need to ask yourself before choosing a wall unit for your living room. For instance what will you be storing in this room? The answer to this inquiry can help you decide the type of storage your unit should offer (drawers, shelves, closed compartments, etc). You should also decide whether or not you need display space for things like artwork, books, photos or games.

Purple could look so spirited at times that you may think it has no place in the relaxing environment of your living room. If so, go for a purple that has been blended, or flecked, with another color to bring the intensity level down a touch. Gray is the perfect color to use for this motive as it services so well with purple. Attempt a more realistic seem for your wall therapy by mingling purple or mauve paint with gray, too.

Why not use the corner of your living space to add an additional area for seating. Banquette seating that sits between a chimney breast, or a pillar, in-conjunction with some regular wall-facing furniture can create a cosy zone within a living room. Couches that turn through 90 degrees are ever popular because they allow you to stretch out on them.

Using light colors in small spaces is a smart idea. normally white is the main color but it's a cold shade that lacks character. It's why you also need to add something else to the mix. Try light pastels or small hints of contrasting colors.

You can compliment a yellow sofa with a series of other component and accessories the same color but dissimilar shelter. This way they'll communicate with each other on some level but they'll also stand out individually.

Another idea is to use a bright shade of yellow in combination with other neon shades such as pink or blue or orange. This way no color would stand out singly. Instead they´ll all be eye-catching as a whole.
