Another good idea is to stick to the basics as well as to use two contrasting colors that accompaniment each other in a natural plus elegant way. Blue with yellow seems to be one such example. Corder, the founder of Deja vu Decor. “A pop of color will instantly draw the eye and is a great way to liven up a room with no more than the cost of a can of paint.” Where accent walls are concerned, there are a few details to keep in mind. The first is placement. Technically, any wall can be used as an accent, but it really should highlight your focal point. In living rooms, this can mean placing the accenting color around a mantle or some built-in shelving. In bedrooms, by the headboard is best. Aesthetics are the other consideration. A bright paint color certainly does the job, but it’s not the only option. Darker neutrals like black or chocolate brown serve the same purpose. Contrasting materials can also be used. Wallpaper is an excellent choice, as is a patterned tile or even wood paneling.

In short, investing in the products of this new Steelcase and West Elm partnership could help companies keep turnover down and build their best teams.

Since grout itself sits in thin lines between tiles, place it where it’s easy to notice: around bathroom mirrors, over kitchen sinks, or behind cooktops. Placing bright colors like neon in high-traffic areas naturally draws the eye to otherwise-small details. If you really want to make people notice your bold design choice, try opting for colorful grout between smaller tiles on the floor. It pulls focus to an area that doesn’t often get attention — the floor — while creating a unique visual treat.

It seems like there’s always some new doodad to buy for the kitchen. And putting it all somewhere can get to be a challenge. But that’s why they invented fold-away kitchen storage. And that means there’s a lot for parents to tackle when creating their kids’ shared bedroom. With twice the amount (or more) of evolving personalities and necessities, it’s often a daunting task for parents to accommodate storage, space and the individual style of each child.
