Don´t be scared to bring in one giant shot of color. I love this big yummy red box that was added to the coffee table. How about a collection of glass bottles? Different heights with shapes look great congregate on one end of a table anchored by a low, wide decor piece on the other. Exhibit off a assemblage of matchstick boxes, refrigerator magnets from your cross-country trip, pins from every concert you went to, or anything else. You can display them in an absorbing bowl and box or jar.

If you had to pick a new wall unit for your living space how would it look like? The question is actually not as easy as it looks. It's definitely easier to think of some characteristics that you want for your new unit when you’re replacing an already existing one. Basically you just make a list of things you hate about your old furniture and you seem for the opposite in your new design. Things are more complicated when you’re decorating an empty space. Alternatively, organize a purple accent wall with cushions on a gray seat. Purple drapes with one or two upholstered items of furniture often go well together, as does a purple ceiling. For the twin-feature look, also try a pair of chairs that have the same purple tone as a light fitting. A fireplace can still be the main focal point of the room, even if it is in the corner. Merely reposition your furniture so that it does not sit analogous to the walls, as it does in most homes. Newly located furniture, that faces the corner, can make your living room feel absolutely new.

The way everything in this room interacts in terms of color is really melodious and inspiring. In addition, the textures seem to play an important role as well. The rug, the sofa, the velvet pillows, the chocolate brown shelving as well as the walls are all in perfect sync plus the result is a warm with welcoming ambiance.
